Iti Pounamu is a long-standing initiative at our school dedicated to fostering Māori Achievement and supporting our ākonga on their academic journey.

Held in a relaxed and welcoming environment, these weekly after-school sessions offer students a dedicated space to focus, collaborate, and receive extra help with their schoolwork.

What We Offer

  • Targeted Learning Support: Tailored assistance in numeracy and literacy, as well as help with any other subjects ākonga need support with.
  • Teacher Guidance: Our wonderful staff members generously volunteer their time to provide one-on-one support customised to each student’s individual needs.
  • A Warm Start: Every session begins with shared refreshments to help students refuel and transition smoothly into study mode.

  • When: Every Wednesday afternoon, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
  • Where: The school Library
  • Who: All invited ākonga looking for extra academic support are warmly welcome.
