Learning Centre (Awanuiarangi Te Whakaruruhau)

We provide supported learning through specialised programmes.  The Learning Centre provides these for students in Years 9 and 10 which are focused on literacy, numeracy and the School Values of Respect, Responsibility and Achievement. Learning Support classes have a maximum of 15 students with teacher aide support in all core subjects.The school has a focus on literacy and Literacy Assistants support children in class throughout the school. Additional support is also provided through applications completed by the Learning Support Coordinator for Special Assessment Conditions, and In-class Support. In some instances, these applications can provide teacher aide support. Classroom support is provided by classroom teachers through digital literacy and a differentiated curriculum.
