Nurse/Guidance
HEeADSSS assessments
Adolescence is a time of growth and development and can be challenging for some.
The Student Health Nurse will be conducting health checks on students using the Ministry of Health’s “HEeADSSS” assessment tool. This includes a range of questions relating to home, school, eating, drug/alcohol, depression/mental health, sexuality and safety.
Any health risks identified will have the appropriate support offered to students and families.
Students are supported by a wide guidance network. The school has two full time guidance counsellors and works closely with outside agencies, making referrals when the need arises.
NOTE: You have the option of opting out of this when filling out the Health Form found in the school enrolment packs.
